Connect Your School to COPI

Grade schools in the U.S. can partner with Circle of Peace School through our classroom peer-to-peer program.

Our Peer-to-Peer Program

Children and teachers at schools like COPI face numerous challenges, including overcrowded classrooms, unsanitary latrines, too few classroom furnishings and outdated textbooks.

In 2009, we set up a classroom peer-to-peer program between students at Circle of Peace and students in the U.S.  Grade school teachers and administrators in the U.S. may partner their schools with Circle of Peace School and its students through pen pal programs, fundraising and more.

It’s an excellent way to introduce students to the issues of poverty and global citizenship.

How Your School Will Benefit

Our peer-to-peer program provides resources to help your students:

  • Gain insight into life at a school in Uganda and understand the advantages that U.S. students and schools enjoy

  • Develop an interest in active life-long global citizenship

  • Establish personal relationships with another child

  • Work as a team to understand how individual and collective actions benefit others

Fundraise at School

Schools have already made a difference to Circle of Peace School by supplying:

  • New desks, classroom and office supplies

  • New school and sports team uniforms

  • A television set for the school and two sewing machines

  • Playground equipment

  • Fire extinguishers
